Cinderella Story

I started to think about Cinderella cosplay almost 2 years ago, and during a year or so I could not finish it because of many other projects. But finally it's done




Few words about costume

As many other little girls I loved Cinderella story in my childhood, though Disney movie itself I watched only few years ago. Frankly speaking it's not my favorite cartoon and I know that my face is not perfect for this princess, and I decided to try myself as Cinderella mostly because I wanted to make justice to her dress. Moreover Cinderella is a movie, created at 50-s, that saved the whole Disney studio from collapse and was made during the lifetime of Walt Disney himself.

The dress seems to be rather easy, though it has some difficult moments that made me think a lot. First of all I was looking for the wig, I knew at once that Cinderella is not typical blonde, she has dark honey-gold hair, so I bought caramel blonde wig from ebay. The wig was even too thick so I had problems with the final hair-stile. In the end I stopped making French twist.

Another problem was main blue fabric. You can see it in the movie, Cinderella's dress is almost silver and shine with glitters. Unfortunately I did not find blue glitter fabric and bought light blue silk and white fabric with glitters for the sleeves and white parts of the skirt.  I'm actually very proud of my sleeves x) I used the Disneyland Cinderella technique, that made of two parts.

Slippers. I saw many times silicone shoes specially made for Cinderella on ebay, but I did not like the form and in the end decided to cover white shoes with glitters.

I hope to make a photoshoot soon, but now, together with our cosplay-team R&R we want to show you our cosplay-video dedicated to Cinderella. I think you all remember our amazing photographer and his tremendous works.

He uses Canon EOS 600D, unfortunately we still don't have steadicam and it is very difficult to make video in motion

There's only 2 minutes but we spent the whole day to capture it. First of all you can see Ryoko's little star Reshka, beloved and beautiful mouse. Due to my costume and Reshka we were surrounded by kids, crying "Cinderella! Are you real, Cinderella? Cinderella, where you're going? Can we touch a mouse". And I felt like Cinderella from Disneyland x) The glitters that you can see during the video were made with the help of water and spray. Ryoko was the main creator of magic

This costume was hard to wear, and that was a hot day (32o C), but I hope you will enjoy the video and soon we promise to make even more beautiful stories for you
